Girly Junk, the brainchild of Robin Osborne, older sibling in this duo, was years in the making. Fresh out of college, Robin took her blonde ambition to the beauty industry working for cutting edge Cosmetics Company, Stendahl and also Elizabeth Arden. Now mind you this was during a very fun time for cosmetics, the 80's, a time when big hair, bright cosmetics and 1000 watt lip gloss RULED! Robin dominated the scene until a dark cloud passed over us…….a trend that made us doubt our love of cosmetics… the Natural look, or as we refer to it "the brown ages". This drab, no-fun beauty revolution sent Robin into hiding in the IT industry of all places, where she dazzled the minds and hearts of computer geeks everywhere.
In the summer of 2002, Robin decided to come out of cosmetic hiding, putting her powdered nose to the grindstone to create a boutique that filled a void here on the South Shore. Fantastic, fun cosmetics that you would normally have to hit Boston to find, combined with her funky cosmetic know-how to help in application,.but she couldn't do it all alone folks. In typical little sister fashion I left Los Angeles & the film industry after years of honing my skills at taking orders from beautiful people(come by anytime to hear celebrity stories and gossip), to follow Robin during the "brown ages" into IT. Realizing we made such a great team, and that my knowledge of the star treatment and their trade beauty secrets would not be wasted, Girly Junk was born.
